Wetland Permitting Services
Our experienced team will guide you through the wetland permitting process, ensuring compliance with all relevant and up-to-date regulations. We handle dozens of Environmental Resource Permits (ERPs) every year, helping you understand your options and manage permitting and compliance requirements from start to finish – keeping your project on track.

What is a wetland?
Wetlands are areas where water saturates the soil long enough to create unique conditions that support specific plants, animals, and ecosystems. We assess plants, soils, and hydrology to determine the presence of wetlands on your property.
How long does the permitting process take?
- Residential projects: 4–6 months
- Larger projects: 6–12+ months
The timeline depends on the size of the project and the agencies involved.
Depending on the permit type and property location, we coordinate one or more of the following agencies:
- Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)
- Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD)
- South Florida Water Management District
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
When do I need a wetland permit?
We conduct a site assessment to determine the presence and extent of any wetlands on your land. If wetlands are identified, we’ll help you create a mitigation plan and propose solutions to reduce impacts.
You will need a permit if your project involves Clearing, grading, dredging, or filling wetland areas.
What is our process?
Our Process
- Wetland Boundary Survey: We perform a field survey and flag the wetland boundaries on your property.
- Permit Application and Mitigation Plan: Using your site plan, we compile the necessary data and submit a permit application, including a mitigation plan, to the appropriate agency.
- Agency Coordination: We coordinate with the agency to complete any required site visits or submit additional documents needed to obtain the permit.
